Our Used Track / Railway Ballast is composed of crushed stone which has been used in railway construction. It typically includes angular rocks, primarily granite, which has been selected for its durability and ability to support railway ties.
When originally used the ballast is designed to interlock and create a stable base that can bear heavy loads, while also providing drainage to prevent water accumulation.

Our Used Railway Ballast is approx. 70-30mm down, providing a consistant size and composition for good material performance. It varies slightly in colour, but is a consistent-looking secondary aggregate.

Our railway ballast is delivered loose in approx. 20-tonne loads using our 8-wheeled tipper trucks, with a minimum order of 10 tonnes.
