Muckaway
The term “Muckaway” is the industry word for when waste materials are removed from site, and either taken to a licensed tip or for recycling. These loads are generated from site strips, or arisings from excavations. When suitable we are able to take the muck or soils to a restoration site. This proves to be the most cost effective method.
Whether it be a single load or 10,000 + tonnes, VWJ Earthmoving will be able to carry out the disposal in the most efficient way, in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Chester.
VWJ Earthmoving understands that no two sites are the same, each with specific issues, needs or requirements such as operational times or traffic management.
Where possible, we will discuss your site requirements, often we can import materials to site, and take muckaway to tip. This approach has been welcomed by customers, especially if they are limited to the number of vehicle movements. Again not only is this an environmental bonus due to the reduction in traffic, but ensures cost effectiveness.
Hardcore,( if kept separate from the spoil,) can be taken to a recycling centre for further processing. This does not just mean a diversion from landfill sites, but allows the materials to be turned into secondary aggregates to prove to be a cost-effective alternative to primary aggregates.
